On July 6th, 2025, the NL for SL Foundation brought together the Sri Lankan community
Established in December 2022, Netherlands for Sri Lanka (KVK88403424) is a registered charitable foundation uniting Dutch citizens of Sri Lankan origin to create lasting impact. We raise funds for vulnerable communities in Sri Lanka—children, rural women, the elderly, and disabled—while strengthening cultural ties between the Netherlands and Sri Lanka through community events and meaningful connections across generations.
Born from Sri Lanka’s 2022 economic crisis, we saw the urgent need for coordinated, transparent aid. When the nation declared bankruptcy and humanitarian needs soared, we answered the call. Today, we provide long-term assistance with accountability, ensuring every contribution reaches those who need it most.
Through NL for SL’s support, our children received essential school supplies and hope for a brighter future. This foundation doesn’t just provide aid—they provide dignity and opportunity.
Every project we undertake is driven by transparency and accountability. From school supplies in Badulla to supporting vulnerable families in Wigoda, we ensure your donations create real, measurable change. Our unique position as Sri Lankan expats in the Netherlands allows us to bridge cultures, verify needs directly, and deliver aid efficiently—building a stronger, more resilient Sri Lanka, one community at a time.
